Lena Sensitive Cup
- Sensitive Anatomies / Cramps
- Teens and Adult Users
- Made in California
Lena Sensitive was developed for users with more sensitive anatomies or with sensitive bladders.
Lena Sensitive is perfect for users of all ages, experience level and physique and offers the same 12h protection as our classic model.
Lena Sensitive is an ideal partner for your Lena Classic and can offer you further relief from cramps during your most painful days.
Most people can wear either size Lena Cup but choose one over the other primarily based on flow amount, cervix height and general physique. Unlike other brands, at Lena we do not believe that age and birthing history play a significant role in choosing a menstrual cup. Mothers with multiple births are happily using LENA Small while teenagers, with a heavy flow, choose LENA Large.
Lena Small is ideal for users with a Normal flow and Lena Large is suited for people with a Heavy flow. You can visit our Sizing Guide page for further guidelines.
LENA SMALL FOR SENSITIVE ANATOMIES
One of the smallest menstrual cups on the market, Lena Small Sensitive is ideal for individuals with sensitive anatomies, especially more sensitive bladders. Our sensitive cup is also a great companion to our classic Lena Cup for your first and more sensitive period days
A GENTLER OPTION
Made of slightly softer silicone than our classic Lena Cups, Lena Sensitive is still perfectly suited for all physical activities and offers a comfortable and leak-free period. Lena Small Sensitive is ideal for users of all ages and body types
AS NATURE INTENDED
Abnormal pap smears, rashes and yeast infections have been linked to the use of pads and tampons. Choose a healthier period – Lena Cups collect only your blood without drying out your vagina
SENSITIVE AND TRUSTED
Lena Large Sensitive has the same high collection capacity as our classic Lena Large Cup and allows for users with sensitive anatomies to have a more comfortable period
SIZING BASED ON FLOW AMOUNT, NOT ON AGE
Unlike other menstrual brands, at Lena we do not base our sizing on age and birthing history. Choose Lena Large Sensitive if your flow is heavy and if you are looking for longer-lasting protection. I love this cup! I ordered it in 2019 to try it out and I'm only now ordering a new one in 2022 now that the original is petering out! I think I've bought one bag of pads that I still have since I got this cup. I think it might exacerbate my cramps on day 2 of my period sometimes, but other than that, I absolutely love it. And the learning curve is pretty easy! I learned that it helps me to make sure the cup is going to stay put if I do a little hippy dance. I've had the cup shoot all the way to the back of my vagina if it wasn't fully opened before and that's super painful, but since I started doing some squats and swiveling my hips around to make sure it stays put, I haven't had this problem. If this happens do a decent number of people, I'd like to see something about it in their instructions, perhaps, so people know how to handle that.
This is my second time purchasing a Lena Cup - and will only use them
The first one I purchased I cut the end off, but regretted it and I needed to use up my FSA so I bought one large and one small in the soft silicone. I have tried a few different brands and no one has silicone that compares to this.
Also I really love the quiz and talking about your needs instead of your cervix size. I bleed exactly the same as before pregnancy and its the same size. I have always wanted a smaller one for lighter days and it makes such a difference.
Absolutely buy this!
I'm 49 years old and honestly not sure why I didn't try a menstrual cup until now. I guess I thought it would be messy or uncomfortable - I had tried discs before and wasn't thrilled with them as they didn't hold much and were very challenging to empty, especially at work without direct access to a sink. The Lena Sensitive small is life-changing! It was easy to insert (did the tri fold), comfortable, held a full 12 hours (!) and didn't leak at all. The first couple of times, I had some challenges removing it - I found that bearing down helps until you can break the seal - but those are things you figure out/learn with use. I have a very heavy flow and can't tell you how many times I've stood up or bent over with tampons or pads and had to run to the bathroom to try to prevent a messy, embarrassing leak. Not to mention, I was always distressed by the amount of plastic I was putting in a landfill. I was able to exercise, sleep and go on with my day without worrying. And because it collected all my flow, it wasn't messy to retrieve or empty it. It, for the first time in 49 years, made my period bearable. Try it - highly recommend the sensitive for those hesitant to try it. I'm so thrilled.
I’m on day 3 of using a period cup for the first time. Lena Cup takes some getting used to, but I’m liking it so far. I was really concerned about how to take it out, but it was really simple and natural process. Putting the cup in the first few times takes some finesse, but there is a guide that illustrated different methods of folding to try. I’ve got it down now.
I loooove this brand. I’m so happy to see different options! I’ve used a Lena cup consistently (with only 2 breaks to live with acrylic nails :) and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for my period. I’m giving 4 stars because I had a really hard time getting this softer one to open up while it’s up in there. Got frustrated with it once and decided to walk around and squat a little to get it to open - which worked! I felt a quick but firm pressure when it opened, nothing to sweat about. I have trouble completely relaxing so I’m sure it could be user error.
I would totally recommend a first time user or anyone who’s particularly sensitive try this cup out. FYI I’ve not had children, use the smaller size (blessed with a light and quick flow), and never experience discomfort with any Lena cup.
